Founded in 2003, Equilibrium Engineers LLC offers full service structural engineering consulting to architects, developers, contractors and building owners. We are located in Lake Oswego, Oregon, 8 miles south of downtown Portland. Equilibrium Engineers LLC is a small firm with a diverse client base. Our small size and diverse projects combine to create a dynamic work atmosphere.

Current Projects

  • Southeast Mixed Use

    A 4 story, 25,000 square foot structure comprised of 3 stories of light gage steel framed apartments over a one story concrete framed parking and retail space. Through close collaboration with the Architect, Equilibrium Engineers was able to engineer a floor system for the apartments that does not utilize floor joists, thereby allowing for economical, high volume interior space.

  • Oregon Zoo Elephant Exhibit Expansion

    Equilibrium Engineers was recently awarded the new Elephant Habitat project at the Oregon Zoo. The project will expand the current habitat from 1.5 acres to 6 acres and includes a new 40,000 square foot elephant management/indoor viewing building.

  • Trimet Ruby Junction Maintenance & Wash Facility

    The latest project at Trimet's Ruby Juction Maintenance Facility in Gresham, Oregon is a 6,600 square foot addition to the existing maintenance facility. The building will contain 2,600 square feet of maintenance platform mezzanines. A secondary component is a wash bay for Trimet Trains.

  • 3339 SE Division Street, Portland

    A four story building with street level retail and three stores of luxury apartments. Building consists of a post-tensioned concrete podium with three stories of light gage steel framed apartments above.
